Larry Baer, the renowned SF Giants CEO, is a man of outstanding accomplishments. He did not start in the world of sport; his first place of work was in media.

Finally, the Giants CEO made a significant entry into the world of sport, baseball to be precise. His journey with the Giants has been for over three decades, but finally, in 2012, he became Giants CEO.

Baer’s spirit for success began to show just a few years after becoming CEO. The Giants once again became the winners of the second world series. Another big win came in, in 2014, just two years after becoming CEO. Further, since he joined the world of sport, he has overseen several projects. Baer is most renowned for being behind Oracle Park. The park has become a people’s favorite, and it has gone on to be recognized as Sports Facility of the Year in 2008.

The Giants has a branch called Giant Development Services, where Baer serves in the capacity of both chairman and CEO. Under his guidance, the department is in charge of building Mission Rock, a mixed-use neighborhood with over 1,500 units, several square feet of office space, and retail shops. Mission Rock includes parks as well.

Throughout his career, Larry Baer has served on many baseball boards. Because of his various efforts in uplifting baseball, Baer has received several awards. 2012 was a big year for Baer; this year, he became CEO, and Harvard recognized him as Alumnus of the Year. Berkeley has recognized his works as well and accorded him Excellence in Achievement Award.
